Our annual Challenger Tournament is now open for entry.

This great tennis event occurs every year at Hampton in Arden tennis club and completes on finals day (1st July) which is also the day of the Hampton Festival...

Tournement Format

As always there are many ways to play and lots of opportunities for silverwear ;-) 

• Singles - Mens and Ladies singles with a plate tournement for those who don't make it past the early rounds
• Doubles - Mens and Ladies doubles tournements, choose your partner or we can pair you with somone we also have a Mixed Doubles tournement.

Matches are played to the best of 3 sets (first to 6 games with two clear games, tie break at 6-6) with the last set being a "Championship Tie Break" (tie break format but first to 10 with two clear points).

All matches should be arranged by the players in the weeks leading up to to finals day, with some gental pursuasion form the Tournement Committee ;-)

Entering and Eligability

Let us know ASAP (by emailing tournaments@hamptontennis.org.uk or speaking to a committee member) if you want to play in this years challenger tournament, to qualify you must meet the following eligability criteria:

1. You MUST be a paying tennis members (Click here to join)
2. You MUST be able to play on finals day (July 1st 2017) - this is essential, please don't enter unless you can play this date.
3. You can NOT enter if you are playing tennis in Box League 1 or 2 (or have done so in the last 6 months)
4. You can NOT enter if you are playing for (or have done in the last 18 months) a mens tennis team 1, 2, 3 or 4 (team 5 members ARE eligable) - Speak with your team captain for clarification or exceptions
5. You can NOT enter if you are playing for (or have done in the last 18 months) the ladies first or second team - Speak with your team captain for clarification or exceptions

Various Junior tournements are being run with finals on the same day (July 1st) please contact the coaching team for more information.
