Tony is an LTA Accredited+ , Level 3 Coach, with over 40 years of experience coaching all levels and abilities, from beginners to professional players. Growing up in a tennis family, Tony achieved his lifelong dream of playing on Centre Court at the All England Championships in the men’s doubles with his brother John Lloyd. 


Tony played on the professional circuit for a number of years, and got to a world ranking of 320. He has played in the Wimbledon Championships in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. He has also represented England in his junior years.

Who do you like to watch the most in the grand slams?

“My favourite mens player to watch is Dominic Thiem, he’s got a fantastic technique on his ground shots, and can hit the ball very hard. My favourite women’s player to watch is Simona Halep, she’s an incredible athlete”

What other sports do you like to watch?

“I love watching Football, Bolton Wanderers are my team for life, don’t laugh!”

What’s your favourite shot?

“The hotdog, that’s the shot in between your legs!”
