Summer Tournament Draw

The draw for the Seaton Summer Tournament has now taken place, so if you're taking part it's time to start arranging your matches.

The competition sheets can all be found on the wall in the clubhouse (and below). Contact details for participants will be posted on the wall in the clubhouse in early June - these have been taken from the club records so please review these are correct and amend if necessary. When you've completed your match please note the winners on the competition sheet. Each round's matches should take place by the date on the bottom of the sheet, so please arrange your matches with your opponents as soon as possible.

As a reminder, finals day this year is Sunday 24th July

The full tournament rules can also be found below and in the clubhouse, but if you have any questions please contact Jo Little.

Competition Rules

Format is best of 3 sets - deciding set on a championship tiebreak to 10pts (with 2 clear)

Entry fee is £2 per event, or £5 if you enter three events - payable to Jo Little or via the club bank account with 'Championships' as a reference

A plate competition will run as usual, with the finals being held during club sessions in the week(s) following Finals Day. If you do not wish to enter the plate, please notify the organisers.

Tournament matches are to be arranged by competitors, with an equal responsibility for making contact by both players/pairs. If there are any issues please let the organisers know. Match results should be recorded on the sheets in the clubhouse.

Matches to be played on the astro courts, unless by mutual agreement when the hard courts can be used.

Only one court may be used during evening club sessions for competitive matches - please use the booking sheet provided.

Outside of club time (evening and morning) you may reserve courts for tournament matches by using a post-it note pinned to the board.

Club tournament matches can be played on the 3rd court during a league match, but please be respectful to the league match. Please share the match balls as and when they are put out.

Please organise and play all matches as soon as possible and by the dates indicated in the schedule. Where delays cannot be avoided please inform the tournament committee. Matches that are delaying the event may be settled by a coin toss or awarded to the competitor(s) who has made the most effort to arrange the match.

Scoreboards can be used if you wish to do so.

If you feel you will have issues with your availability, please contact the  tournament committee.

Club balls will be provided as usual for matches.

Good luck to all - Jo Little and Barry Follett (Tournament Committee)
