JOIN US FOR OUR OPEN DAY ON SUNDAY APRIL 28
Ahead of the 2024 summer season and the new membership year we would like to invite anyone interested in trying out St Ives Tennis Club with a view to joining to come along to a fun day with our members.
The day offers the opportunity for adults and juniors of all standards to play on our synthetic clay surface, meet and play with our friendly members and enjoy refreshments throughout the day – all on the courts overlooking Porthminster Beach with the best sea views from a tennis club anywhere!
There is an adult mix-in from 10am until 12, for more serious players a ladies session from 12 until 1pm and a men’s hit from 1 until 2 with a session for juniors between 2 and 3pm.
All you need to bring is a racket and suitable sports shoes so we look forward to seeing you!! 

MEMBERSHIP: St Ives Tennis Club is currently accepting new members with membership free for the 10 and unders.

Tennis, fun, sun and friendship - what more could you ask for?  We can't promise the sun but you're guaranteed the other three at the tennis club with the most beautiful outlook anywhere. Well, most people who play here say that!

Located just above Porthminster Beach, our two synthetic clay all-weather courts are used throughout the year. We have social mix-in sessions, when members can just turn up and play, on Tuesday and Friday mornings (10am-1pm), Sundays (10am-12) and Wednesday evenings (5pm until 8-ish) have now resumed for the 2024 summer.

PAY AND PLAY: Visitors are welcome on a pay-and-play basis from Monday to Friday and courts can be reserved via the Booking link on this website with a credit or debit card. Weekends are reserved for members, league matches and junior coaching and, sorry, we don't hire out rackets.
We have no parking at the club but there may be some spaces on the nearby station car park and there is a walk-through at the back of the platform.

With the aid of a grant from Sport England, our new clubhouse was completed in 2013 and we can now welcome players with disabilities.

SATURDAY BEGINNER AND IMPROVER SESSIONS FREE FOR ALL
St Ives Tennis Club is now offering free Saturday lunchtime opportunities to any local people wanting to play.
The two-hour sessions, aimed at people living in the TR26 postcode looking to take up the sport, maybe return after a break or simply wanting to improve their skills, are being run by experienced club members every Saturday from 2 until 4pm.
The focus is on fun and non-members and members are invited to come along and give it a go.
Rackets are available to borrow, tennis balls are provided and the only proviso is that players turn up at the courts overlooking Porthminster Beach in appropriate sports shoes. Newcomers then wishing to play more will be welcome to join the club.

NEW: DEFIBRILLATOR AT ST IVES TENNIS CLUB

Our new defibrillator – funded by the tennis club – was up and running in October 2023.
Eleven club members attended a training course and we have others familiar with how to use it after undergoing training with other organisations in the town.
The defibrillator, sited on the outside wall of the clubhouse, is also be available to people outside the club in the event of an emergency.
South West Ambulance Service will have the gate code to the courts so they can supply it to anyone needing access in order to collect the defibrillator when they dial 999 in an emergency.
