Iver Heath Tennis Club - Restricted Tennis

Please read the following carefully regarding the current playing restrictions at Iver Heath Lawn Tennis Club.

IMPORTANT: Do not leave your home to play tennis if Government advice means you should stay at home because you or someone you live with has or has had symptoms of COVID-19, or you are in the most vulnerable category and have been advised to shield from the coronavirus.

Following the latest announcement by the government and further LTA guidance we are able to update the current restrictions as follows:

**If you have played at Iver Heath Lawn Tennis Club and develop symptoms of COVID-19, you should follow the Government's 'test and trace' guidelines, which can be read on the Gov.uk website**

From Wednesday 3rd June:
1. Players should observe the 2-metre social distancing rule at all times.
2. The clubhouse is closed until further notice.
3. Singles and Doubles Play is now permitted, players playing doubles do not have to be from the same household. Please be responsible if playing doubles.
4. Court 1 & 3 are now both open. To access court 3, please walk alongside the wall by court 1 to the gate leading onto court 2.
5. There will be no organised club sessions, all play must be privately arranged/booked.
6. All courts must be booked in advance. The court booking system is on the club website. Any member wishing to book a court can email their details, time to be booked and those who are playing to iverheathltc@outlook.com. Soon, all members (if they haven't already) will be able to register so they can book courts themselves. Bookings are now restricted to 90 minutes a day though if no-one is booked on after, you may continue to play.
7. Players should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their court booking time.
8. Players should arrive dressed for tennis.
9. Players should bring with them drinks, tennis balls (which no longer need to be marked) and hand sanitizer.
10. Juniors under 16 must be supervised by 1 adult.
11. Please close and lock the entrance gate whilst you are playing. Do not let anyone else into the club, only those who are booked to play.
12. No guests/non-members are permitted at the current time.
13. Please take all your rubbish home with you.

All court nets have been set to the correct height and adjusters have been taped up. This is as per guidelines to remove as many items as possible that are commonly touched. We will periodically check net heights.

Individual 1-2-1, 1-2-2 or small group coaching sessions are available with Andy Fryatt. He will not be starting any structured group coaching until at least September, but he will be running some midweek afternoon sessions with limited spaces available.

If you are thinking about joining Iver Heath Lawn Tennis Club please contact the club.

In this continuing difficult situation, we absolutely expect everyone to help all members and our coach to stay safe. However, if the rules are abused by any members then the committee will have to take action (in extreme cases removing gate code access to the club, membership and if necessary to re-close the club).

Hopefully it won't be long until the club can ease some of the above restrictions but we must work within the guidance of the UK government and the LTA. We hope to be able to reduce these restrictions in time, but equally they may need to be increased at short notice.

Stay safe on court.
