Player Profile - George Day

I started tennis when I was around 6 years old when my parents started taking me to Virgin Active in West End, which is now David Lloyd. I continued to play and was then picked in the u10 county cup team in green ball. From there I carried on playing as well as playing football on the side.

I then decided at u12 that tennis was the sport for me and over the last 3 years have been taking it very seriously. I have always loved to play tennis as it is an individual sport and it is all down to what you can do. I have won the county doubles u12 championship and hope to have won the singles in the near future. I want to continue competing and performing to the best ability I can.

I would love to move to America at university and play out there. I feel like it would be a great experience and would improve my game further. I know that tennis will always be a big part of my life and hope to move forward.

Currently, I play at Winchester, Swanmore and David Lloyd. It has been so welcoming playing at Swanmore where you can talk to anyone and play regularly and I hope to play here lots in the future.
