Our most recent social event was a visit to Leamington Tennis Court Club, courtesy of Peter Rollason, where a number of members were introduced to Real Tennis. the rules and equipment are very different to what we're used to but following an explanation and introduction to basic techniques by coach Ben Taylor-Matthews (world No.6) the Harbury contingent put theory into practice. They quickly demonstrated their adaptability and were soon at home with chases, dedans, and some peculiar bounces off the penthouse walls! Their efforts were enthusiastically appreciated by spectators who were then shown by the LTCC regulars how the game should "Really" be played! This was followed by an excellent selection of curries in the club's impressive dining room. A great night!
