ENJOY AUTUMN WITH OUR 10IS LEAGUE OF CHAMPIONS

FORMAT

The Competition will be run as a singles box league round robin format, with each box consisting of players of a comparable ability to make it as fun and competitive as possible. The number of matches to be played per box will depend on the number of entries, each player will play all other players in their box once, as an example a four player box playing singles matches will mean each player will play 3 matches. 

WHO CAN PLAY

This competition is open to everyone taking coaching at 10is Academy, their parents* and friends* and to Ely Tennis Club members, their family* and friends*.

Everyone from 6 year-old to 90 year-old can join. We will have separate competitions for each of the following groups:

Red League

Scoring: 1 set and match tie break to 10 points with 2 clear points 

Orange League

Scoring: 2 sets tie break to 7 points with 2 clear points, 3rd set if necessary tie break to 7 points with 2 clear points

Green League

Scoring: 2 short sets (first to 4 games, two clear) tie break at 4-4, 3rd set if necessary match tie break to 10 points with 2 clear points.

Yellow League

Scoring: 2 sets tie break at 6-6, 3rd set if necessary match tie break to 10 points with 2 clear points

Adult League

Scoring: 2 sets tie break at 6-6, 3rd set if necessary match tie break to 10 points with 2 clear points

PRE-REQUISITES

  • Have a current BTM (10is Academy players must ensure it is linked to 10is Academy) to improve your LTA rating- COMPULSORY- Join HERE for free 
  • Have a UTR number to improve your international rating (very useful if you are on holiday abroad and are looking to play some tennis with the locals) - Join HERE for free
  • Fully paid entry fee by 6pm on 03/10/2019

LOCATION

Matches can be played on any court. You are responsible for arranging your matches, booking the courts and paying for any court fees where applicable.

  • rent an indoor or outdoor court
  • use a public court in a park
  • use a court in a club including Ely Tennis Club*

RESULTS

Results have to be submitted to admin@10is-academy.com within 24 hours after the end of the match by the winning player (with the loosing player in copy)

PROMOTION/RELEGATION

At the end of the competition (if you are joining us for the Autumn League)

  • the top player of each League will be promoted
  • the bottom player of each League will be relegated
  • Yellow ball players cannot be relegated to the Green League
  • Green League players cannot be relegated to the Orange League
  • Orange League players cannot be relegated to the Red League

PRIZES

  • 3 tennis balls before the start of the league (must be collected at King's school on Saturday between 9am and 4pm once you have entered the competition) - on your first competition only -
  • £2 off the next league if you play all of your matches**
  • £5 off the next league if you win your league**

 

 

* A £2 visitor charge must be paid to Ely Tennis Club if using their courts for any of your matches

** cannot be cumulated
