Tennis Camps & Clinics
Our tennis camps provide children aged 5-13 with the opportunity to take part in active, fun and rewarding sporting activities.
The focus of our work is on each child’s development and enjoyment. We aim to inspire younger generations to take part in physical activity. One of the things that makes our tennis camp unique is that we offer a whole variety physical literacy acitvities coached by a qualified coach.
The team of tomorrow
The majority of coaches are students with a LTA Level 1 and Level 2. They have played tennis at 10is Academy for years and have been identified and trained to become coaches – They are individuals who bring with them enthusiasm, knowledge of cutting-edge coaching and teaching methods, and the ability to relate to and inspire the younger generation. As well as attracting many volunteers to assist with the camps, we have a core hub of coaches present at every camp. 10is Academy also ensure all individuals who work for us have been DBS checked and have a coaching or teaching background.
Flexibility
We don’t require players to sign up for an entire week. We want to work with your specific schedule to make practice as productive as possible. This is why we allow players to sign up for as many or as few days as they’d like.
Development camps & Performance camps
These camps are for for players who are in their Development level, who are looking to take their game to the next level. Our Development Camps are for players representing their team and ready to compete individually. We take a goal oriented approach in our coaching so that our players see improvements in performance over time. In these camps, we teach our development players advanced technical concepts, partnered with drills, games, and matchplay, to give them an edge over their competition and allow them to succeed against all types of opponents.
Benefits
At 10is Academy, we guarantee a maximum of 4 players per court. We focus on giving personal attention to each student to ensure that every player receives training that helps them achieve their specific goals, needs, and interests. We discuss short and long-term goals with all our players and work on ways to reach them. We help our players actively look for ways they can improve, no matter how big or small their aspirations may be.
Commitment
We do require players to sign up for an entire week.
Testimonial
“One thing that I loved about the Performance camp at 10is Academy was the coaching, particularly how we were able to set specific goals for ourselves and then work with the coach to meet them. Ultimately I think that working on the small areas of my tennis game helped me to become a better tennis player.” -Maddy (14)
