Notes from the coach
At 10is Academy we believe it is very important to teach and provide Adaptive Tennis for players with Special Needs. As people encounter difficulties with mental or physical disabilities in their lives, they may feel disenfranchised and separated from the fabric of society. For this reason, we utilise the game of tennis to help those who feel isolated gain a sense of belonging, develop confidence within themselves and better reintegrate within society. We are looking to extend our program during term time and are looking for some volunteers to help us with our "Adaptive Tennis" program. If you could spare an hour per week or even per month, then join this special training with ex-team GB player Danny Sapsford. Danny and his team will come to deliver a "Disability training" to train our coaches and volunteers. Danny is the Co-founder of "Bright ideas for tennis" a charity that aims at supporting tennis participation especially for players with disabilities.
