Remedial work took place between 11th & 13 June to address the drainage problem on court 1. The top 250mm layer of tarmac from court 1 was removed, before carefully laying a new batch of (hopefully good quality) tarmac. The fence was then re-closed and initial drainage tests look encouraging. Court 1 will not have any lines or be bookable until all four courts are painted Wimbledon green and purple in late July/early August. Courts 2-4 will be available to book as usual from Thursday 14th June until then.
