Great turnout for the American Tournament held Bank Holiday Monday. Twenty members played a morning of doubles with some very close and enjoyable games. There were 2 groups and the winners of each group then played a final.
The final set was extremely close between Kim and Kathy and Sarah and Gaynor with the set being decided by a tiebreak. Sarah and Gaynor were the victorious pair and were awarded trophies kindly donated by Marlene. Big thanks to Stuart for his non- stop food production in the pavilion providing sustenance to players and supporters and to Chris, Belinda and Sarah for their delicious cakes and cheese straws. A super total of £104 was raised for our Youth Development fund.
