American Tournament!

We were very fortunate that the weather held out for the first social tennis event of the year and was a great success. Eight pairs selected at random played a round robin against the clock with the newly installed bell ringing out the eighteen minutes in which as many games had to be played as possible between each pair. The winners were Sabine and Luke who won by a big margin but everyone had a great day and there was some great tennis on display.

As ever, there was a fine selection of cakes with Julia Hawkins making an early bid for Cake Baker of the year with her Victoria Sponge. Thanks to Stuart Lake in charge of his new for 2018 bacon and cheese butties. A big well done and thanks to Caroline Dent for running a great event.
