Weekly Update!
American Tournament! Sunday 8th April! 10am!
Members can still sign up to compete in the American Styled Mixed Doubles Tournament this Sunday!
The tournaments open to all members who play on a full ball (no matter what age). You do not enter with a partner, instead put your name on the signup sheet, which can be found on the notice board in the pavilion and partners will be drawn at random on the day of the tournament.
Entry fee will be £5 with prizes provided and bacon butties and cakes available on the day!
We would like to boost the collection for our dearly departed member Brian Madge. He and his wife Lynne, who passed only a year ago, gave countless hours to our club, involved in Committees and supporting all matters concerning Acle Tennis Club.
Please support the American Tournament on Sunday 8th April. All money made on the day will be donated to either Big C or Pricilla Bacon charities. Liz Lake will also apply to Lloyds Bank to match this donation. Any donations gratefully accepted even if you can’t play on the day! Please contact Liz at secretary@acletennisclub.org.uk

Wimbledon Tickets!
If you received an email by the LTA about tickets for Wimbledon then please remember you only have a few days left to either accept and pay or reject them. Please remember these tickets are for Acle Tennis Club members and the full terms and conditions are on the LTA website.
Facebook Group
We have created a new Acle Tennis Club Group on Facebook which (unlike our Facebook page) allows any member to post comments, pictures or other information that they would like to share with the club. Club Night Fees
The cost of club night has increased to £1.50 to ensure we can can replace the balls when necessary.

Clubspark now have their own app which makes booking courts easy. It can be downloaded onto smartphones, ipads or ipod touches, just search for ‘clubspark’ in the app store and download for free.
Cromer Ladies Double Tournament - Thursday 28th June
Dear Ladies,
You are invited to Cromer to enter the Ladies’ Open Grass Court Doubles Tournament to be held on the grass courts on Thursday 28th June.
The tournament will start at 10.00 with a lunch at 13.00 and the semi-finals and finals taking place thereafter.
Applications are welcomed on a first-come basis. There will be acknowledgement of your entry by email. The tournament entry was full within 2 weeks of opening in 2017 so please enter quickly if you would like to play.

The tournament includes buffet lunch and coffee, is £35 per pair and entries must be in by 21st June.

All sessions open to all ages and abilities. No need to book a place just turn up, pay and play. These are friendly relaxed groups, offering the chance to have fun while getting fit at the same time. We would love to see more members playing on a regular basis. Sessions often end with a well- earned drink in the social club.

Other Bits & Bobs
▪Don't forget that you can buy new balls from the club. Please call Mike Lake on 01493750337 or see Ann Nicholls down at the courts.
▪Money in the safe: could all members please put a note with any money put into the safe detailing who the money is from and what it is for. Please also make sure the club room door locks properly when you leave.
▪Members with a guest: Reminder for members who attend the courts with a guest to kindly put the names on the form pinned to the Club Room wall and put a note with the payment before depositing it in the safe. There are pens, paper and bags provided.
