Club News by Pat Sharp

Up-date on David Stacey’s sponsored walking for charity. Up to Wednesday morning he had completed just over 3,000 laps, a total of 447.67 miles and so far raised just over £3,000. Money  raised will be shared between The Friends of Nobles Hospital and Cruse Bereavment Care – two very worthy causes. So come on tennis players, let’s try and boost his total to £4,000. You can donate via GoFundMe.com or send a cheque to me at Ballabreck, South Cape, Laxey IM4 7BY and I’ll pass it on to David. He still has 11 days to go so it is feasible. Many thanks from David for your support.

The IOMLTA is making every effort to get players back on court. A report by IOMLTA Tennis Development Officer, Rob Comber has been submitted to the relevant depts and we just have to wait for three little words “ Anyone for tennis?” Rest assured the club committee will put all recommendations in place as quickly as possible and when play can start all members will be e-mailed with the rules that will apply.  Many thanks for your patience – it’s been such a long wait.
