Club fact sheet
Tennis has been played at the Club grounds in Alverstoke since about 1880. The Club has some 300 members who own and run its facilities through elected officers and committee.
We have 7 astro tennis courts (1 floodlit), 2 hard courts and one of the few indoor courts in the area.
1st & 2nd teams and age limited teams play in Hampshire leagues. Members’ Club night is on Wednesday evening with mix-ins on Saturday pm and weekdays. Bank holidays often have fun competitions. There is a closed Club championship and plate competition for singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Outside court use is free. Fees are payable for use of indoor and floodlit courts.
Josh Gook is the Club coach and provides individual lessons, group lessons, return to tennis classes, and a full range of junior coaching. Beginners & players of all standards and ages are welcome.
SQUASH including RACKETBALL
We have 2 courts for Squash or Racketball. Fees payable per court session peak time £4
The Club has successful men’s and ladies teams playing in the Hampshire leagues. Home match nights are very well supported in spectating and at the bar.
The indoor court provides 4 Badminton Courts usually played Thursday evenings and Saturday. (Session fee £3 adult members, juniors £1.50, non members £4.50 (£3 juniors)

The Club has a sports bar with views on the outdoor and indoor courts, wide screen television. There is also a function room, kitchen, changing rooms, office and Pro shop.
Social functions include BBQs, dining nights, quiz nights and comedy nights.
Rachel Blackmore is the Club administrator. The Club office is open Monday to Friday mornings.
