One of the benefits of belonging to Ashwell Tennis Club has been access to Wimbledon tickets. In the past the club was allocated tickets, and we drew lots for these at the annual general meeting. The LTA have now taken over this process, which unfortunately means we loose our cozy event. In theory, the same number of tickets will be distributed to the same number of club members on a national basis, so chances of winning should be similar.
The new central process is now up and running, and the deadline to enter the ballot is the evening of Friday 4th February, so time to take action if you've not done so and want to enter.
The new Wimbledon ballot is part of "LTA advantage", which is basically a complicated name for being an LTA member. The web site is here: https://www2.lta.org.uk/advantage/. Each paying member of Ashwell Tennis Club (age 11+) can sign up to LTA advantage in the PLAY+ tier for free. On your LTA Advantage membership, you have to make sure that your membership of Ashwell Tennis club is showing up, and add this venue if it is missing, in order to be upgraded to PLAY+. You can then opt in to the Wimbledon ballot.
The LTA know you are a paying member of an LTA tennis club because they have changed the login process to merge your Ashwell Tennis Club login on Club spark with the LTA login. If you have logged into the Ashwell Tennis Club web site recently, you may well have been prompted to update your login information as part of this. Basically, as you log in to the Ashwell web site, the process will either create you a new LTA login, or if you already have one, ask you for those details so that they can be merged. From then on, you will log into the Ashwell Tennis Club web site with your LTA details. If you already do this, no change.
I hope that is reasonably clear, and not too hard. If you're stuck, this may help: https://sportlabs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019598317-LTA-ClubSpark-Login-Single-Sign-On-Support-Guide.
