Rules of Play
Membership access:
- Only BLTC adult and junior members will be allowed to play during level 4 restrictions
- No guests allowed
- Play will be restricted to singles between individuals from different households
- Members from the same household may play doubles
During play
- Players should observe good hygiene recommendations below
- Tennis balls should be marked and only handled by the owner
- No changing of ends
- Avoid shaking hands or High-5s
Facilities:
- Clubhouse will remain closed apart from emergency access to toilet and first aid
- Benches will be removed from the court
- Hand sanitiser will be provided at the gate, but members are requested to bring their own
- No club balls will be available
Safety and Hygeine:
- Do not come to the courts if you have Covid-19 symptoms
- Bring your own hand sanitiser
- Clean your hands and all equipmet, including water bottles, before and after play
- Keep a minimum of 2 meters from those not in your own household
- Take care to observe social distancing when entering and leaving courts
- Avoid touching nets and other hardware as far as possible
- Avoid touching your face
- Dispose of any tissues and litter safely and considerately
General Safety and Wellbeing
- Beware icy conditions as the courts, paths and carpark are not routinely cleared
- Surfaces can also become slippery when wet
- Members must take responsibility for their own safety and that of guests and other players
- Any concerns should be reported to the committee immediately
