What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
This is an inclusive sessions for 4-9 year olds. Players will be split in to age and ability groups within the session, to maximise their improvement. Players will learn overarm serves, rallies, scoring. Kids can use their new knowledge to play in competitions as teams or individuals. It’s still soft balls and small courts but they’re learning everything they’ll need for the game ahead. Our summer courses this year have been restructured to follow strict COVID-19 guidelines. Anti bacterial wipes will be provided throughout the sessions for regular hand cleaning. Coaches are DBS checked, safeguarding trained and first aiders, to ensure maximum safety of all participants.
