Phil and Kate

We joined the tennis club shortly after moving to Balsall Common from Oxfordshire & London two years ago. Having played little tennis since childhood and being completely new to the area, we thought that being part of the tennis club would be a great way to integrate into the local community, and it certainly has been. Everyone at the club has been extremely welcoming and friendly!

We now play tennis at least two or three times per week and also both play for the mens / ladies teams and mixed doubles teams in the winter and summer. This year we're also enjoying taking part in a friendly singles box league at the club. In the warmer weather we take advantage of having such good facilities on our doorstep and book a court for the two of us to play singles.

After playing social tennis on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons, we enjoy socialising with lots of other members in the clubhouse bar. We've also attended numerous other events at the club including comedy nights, quiz nights and cheese & wine nights.

We would strongly recommend the club to anyone considering joining, whether you are completely new to tennis or already play. It's an incredibly warm and welcoming club with so much going on, which is why we love it!
