Committee meeting summary

January Committee Meeting Summary Points for Members

Membership

Membership  numbers continue to be strong.  We are now at 211 members up 47 on prior year.

Maintenance

We are pleased to report that the floodlights have been recently mended.

There is a small leak in the corner of the Clubhouse which we are aware of and it will be fixed soon.

There are new child locks on the cupboard under the sink.  Please release the catch before you open the doors.

Health and Safety

Just to remind everyone that you are responsible for your own health and safety when you are at the courts and if you bring visitors they are your responsibility.  We do not have first aiders on duty. We have put a new copy of our H&S policy in the Clubhouse and also posted details of where the nearest defibrillator is housed and the post code of the Clubhouse should you need to call for emergency services.

Volunteering

Thanks again to those members who have put forward their names to help with some of the activities of the club including maintenance and organising the tournament.  It is really appreciated as the more people that help the better club that we can have for everyone.

We do still need some additional volunteers - including parent members - particularly for being on the cleaning rota for the clubhouse. This really isn’t an onerous task as the equipment is all at the clubhouse and as you know it isn’t a very big space. This would take approximately 20-30 minutes of your time. We try to clean the clubhouse once per week and would like to continue to keep it open all year round.  Even if you could only commit to one week that would still be a real help. Please contact Paul Callaghan the Membership Secretary if you are able to help.

Committee vacancies

Some of our Committee members will be standing down at the AGM in March.  If you are interested in joining the Committee please contact Malcolm Dewsbury (Chair) or Paul Callaghan (Membership Secretary).  Details of specific vacancies will appear in the forthcoming letter of invitation to the AGM.
