The Inaugural Caroline Hewison Memorial Cup was held on Sunday 17th Oct 2017. Twenty mixed pairs from clubs around the north east competed in groups of 5 in a round robin style format with the two best pairs from each group then progressing through to knockout rounds. The final was contested by pairs from Blaydon (Bill Ledger and Grace Dixon) and Durham Archery (Gordon Clough and Trudy Barr) with Bill and Grace running out winners 6-1. The day was organised by Liz Howe and Rachel Cooper and was a great success, with nearly £400 being raised for the Blue Light Project (a charity which provides mental health training for the uniformed services throughout the northeast).
