Richard Herriman is awarded life membership at BPLTC for his outstanding service to tennis in the county.

At the H&W LTA AGM on 25th November (which took place on Zoom), Richard Herriman stood down as Chairman after 40 years of sterling service to county tennis.

Richard came to Worcester in 1971 and was an active member of Bromwich Lane Tennis Club.  He joined the H&W LTA Executive Committee (now the Management Committee) in 1980 and has served in several roles since then, including organising the annual presentation evening and setting up and running the county mixed leagues for many years.  In 2001 he became Vice Chair and took over as Chairman in 2002.  He has given an enormous amount of his time and energy to tennis in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, benefitting all our clubs, coaches and players.
