Our 2nd Floodlit tournament on all 5 courts with 20 players - great fun!

We plan to have these regularly once tennis resumes.  Please see PLAY > FLOODLIT FUN for more info.

DOT'S PLAQUE:   For those of you who haven't yet seen it, we thought you'd like to see the bench plaque in memory  of Dot, a founder member of Bovingdon & Flaunden Tennis Club - opened in 1979.

DONATED FUNDS:  Thanks to a generous Box Moor Trust Covid-support grant, we have been able to purchase an outdoor defibrillator cabinet as well as extra sanitiser and dispensers.   A reminder that a defibrillator is designed for anyone to use: please see details and a demonstration video on the website under COURT BOOKINGS or using this link:  Defibrillator.  The cabinet access code is C159

FACILITIES UPDATE:

A big thanks to Paul Campbell for power brushing courts 4 and 5.  The machine picked up most debris that the leaf blower doesn't lift and has made the surface less slippery.   All 5 tarmac courts will be more slippery when wet: tennis shoes with good grip will make a big difference, but please be careful.

Solar lights now line the path behind the courts

The hitting wall now has a new base surface - the edging and the back wall will completed as soon as regulations allow.

A specialised tennis court squeegee has been ordered to help with any small puddles accumulating on court.
