JK and Isabelle Perrett win Louden 2017

Fair weather rewarded 24 entrants for this years Louden tournament. The use of a seeded draw for the first time ensured lots of even competition. The standard was exceptionally high and many of the rallies were exciting and great fun to watch.

Thanks are especially due to Maura McKibbin for laying on refreshments for the players; and Deb Hurst for looking after all the kitchen duties. It should also be noted that Paul Harris spent hours over the weekend fixing the net on court 1 to ensure we had 6 playable courts.

Our group winners were Jonathan Khan/Isabelle Perrett; Rob Cutts-Watson/Amy Hurst. The runners up were Peter McDermott/Sarah Salton and Simon Denyer/Joanna Waterhouse.

The final was contested between Jonathan/Isabelle and Peter/Sarah; with the former pair coming out on top despite and intrepid fightback from the latter.
