Another 'Super-Sunday' sees eight results
Lots of results from Sunday June 19th to report. The remainin mens singles SF was determined as Stuart Thwaites (1) beat Paul Harris (6) and Phil Huggon (3) beat Francis Egan. In the consolation draw; Craig Feldman beat Guy Johnson to reach a QF with Bob Hurst, and Jos Bailey beat Simon Tobi.
In the mixed doubles, Duncan Hurlstone and Karen Hirst (2) reached the final after beating Steve Coleman and Helen Judd (4) in two close sets, coming back from a break down in both. Phil and Jackie Huggon (1) booked their SF place with a two set win over Graham Alty and Maura McKibbin (5). In the consolation draw, Antony and Madeleine Perrett beat Graham and Angela Bowcock to reach the SF.
In the mens doubles consolation draw, Jos and Ted Bailey beat Ben Davies and Guy Johnson to reach the SF.
Just 5 days to go before finals day, so the rush is on to get all matches completed in time.
Three matches planned for Monday 20th June. Two matches to determine the mixed doubles consolation SF line up. Isabelle Perrett and Howard Forrest play Alex and Anna Gerhard; while Paul and Rowena Allen play Robin Bernstein and Julie Besbrode.
In the mens doubles the first finalists will be determined as Stuart Thwaites and Lee Clarke (1), face Phil Huggon and Geraint Davies (3).
