It's been a busy start to the new season for Bridge's league teams. This year we have teams across the Dover District League (played weekday evenings) and Ashford District League (played at weekends). Find below an overview of progress from team captains.

DDL - Mens A Team

Bridge have thus far played Hythe A and Walmer A in Division 1 and we've accumulated 6 sets in the bank from 16 which is good going against some very tough competition. We will be playing them away and their B teams home and away so all to play for to ensure survival in Division 1.

DDL - Mixed B Team, Division 2

First match of the season against Hythe. Bridge won 6 sets to 2. Bonny and Charlie won both their matches 2-0 and played fantastically well against Hythe’s strong number 1 pairing to beat them. Alison and Tom lost 0-2 against their number 1 which went to an tiebreak in the 1st set and beat their number 2 pairing 2-0. 

In our home match against Whitstable, Bridge won 6 sets to 2. Jonathon and Faye played a great match against their number 1 to win 2-0 and Jo and James paired up to win convincingly 2-0 against their 2nd pair.

ADL - Mixed A Team, Division 1

A good start to the season for the mixed A team with a convincing 4-0 against Charing at home. Our other match in May was rearranged so we have a busy schedule in June. ADL - Mens Team, Division 2

A great start in the ADL league for the Mens B team! A convincing victory agains Sissinghurst on home turf was our only match in May so the team is feeling confident heading into June.
