Bridge Doubles Tennis League

Bridge Doubles Tennis League is open to any member to join at any time. There is no commitment. Players can play occasionally, regularly or even just the once. But your results will have an effect on the league.

Results are based on your percentage success rate. Play enough times and your results will feature on the league table.

Based on the results we will end up with a Men's Champion and a Women's Champion

You play in a group of 4. And play 3 x 1 set matches where you change partners for each set.

Sets as per non-Grand Slam professional doubles matches. That is, no advantages at deuce - the receiving team chooses who to receive deciding point serve. It's usually all done by 8pm.

With the new season starting this week, the next league begins this coming Friday. If you can't play this week, you can start anytime you like in future weeks.

Here are the details of the last league : Doubles League Winter 2023/24

David Parvin

You will see that David has come 2nd in the Doubles Tennis League.  He was a regular player until November. Tragically, he is very ill now with cancer. I met David 3 years whilst walking our dogs at St Augustine's Abbey. As a result, he joined Bridge Tennis Club and played regularly.

During April, I have signed up to do 100 push-ups a day in April for Cancer Research UK as a show of support for David. If you are able to sponsor my efforts, that would be much appreciated:

Jonathan's push up challenge in April - in support for David Parvin

Thanks,
