Doubles League Winter 2023/24

The inaugural Friday doubles league ended its first season today with a little Easter themed morning session. The doubles league is a great way to play with a whole range of players. The aim is to, individually amass the most wins you can with whoever you are partnered with on the day!

You needed to have played a minimum of 13 sets to be on the table (one-third of the number played by the player who played the most)

The winner is Simon Wilson - clear winner out in the lead since Christmas - with a 67% success rate.

2nd place - David Parvin - who has not been able to play since November - but was playing regularly until then and had a solid 57% success rate.

3rd place - and the best Woman player - Faye Lillie - who just fell down into 3rd place today. Bit unfortunate given she provided such fantastic Hot Cross Buns today

The next league starts Friday 5th April - please let me know if you would like to play.

A few new rules:

  1. Only tell me if you can play, not if you might play. When you know later in the week let me know and we can see where we are
  2. No negative talk about the weather - let's just see how it pans out
  3. We will be drawn into groups of 4 meaning, you will have a different partner each set

Please encourage others to play - no commitment. Players can play occasionally, regularly or just once. But your result will have an effect on the league.

Thanks, Jonathan
