Bridport Tennis Club held its club Finals Day on Sunday at a well supported event in the late September sunshine. Nick Wright won the Men’s Singles trophy for the first time while Hannah Odham won the Ladies tournament.

In other competitions Alan Cash and Roy Perkins won the Men’s Doubles with Niamh Vercoe and Billy Lintell winning in the Ladies Doubles final. The Mixed Doubles trophy was won by Alan Cash and Niamh Vercoe with Julian Jones and Jacqui Mitchell winning the Veterans Doubles competition.

The Finals day was the culmination of qualifying tournaments held throughout September with the whole event being sponsored by Huck Nets of Bridport who generously donated new nets for all four tennis courts, while the club has invested in having the courts cleaned and repainted in preparation for the autumn and winter months ahead.
