Brodick Tennis Courts Open Following Major Refurbishment
Thu, 29 Jan 2026 00:00
We are delighted to announce the opening of the newly refurbished Brodick Tennis Courts, marking a significant investment in Arran Community Sport and Wellbeing.
The refurbishment project included comprehensive upgrades to the court surfaces, fencing, and access points, ensuring a high-quality experience for players. While the works faced delays due to material availability and transportation challenges, we are pleased to confirm that these essential improvements are now complete. Total contributions include investment from the UK Government and LTA Tennis Foundation funded Parks Project, KA Leisure and support from the Scottish Government’s Place Based Investment Programme, managed by North Ayrshire Council.
To allow play immediately, temporary lines have been painted, and a full professional paint finish will be applied in spring.
We are also pleased to share that further works will be made possible thanks to funding obtained through a collaborative application to the Scottish Government’s Islands Programme. This funding will support the transformation of Brodick Hall and rear greenspace, creating a vital community space. Planned works include critical investment in the building’s fabric and the development to the green space to the rear of the building, featuring upgraded paths, amenity lighting, and floodlighting for the tennis courts —enabling play during darker evenings. A bike shelter will also be added thanks to support from Active Travel. Further details of the additional works will be provided shortly.
The courts are open now, and to celebrate, we’re offering a special promotion throughout February: play for FREE by booking online at https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/BrodickTennisCourts.
The offers continue and in March, court hire will be available for only £6 per hour, with free daily play from 11am–12pm (booking required). Upon booking, players will receive an email with a unique access code.
Further details will be announced soon, including annual memberships, the community club launch and coaching opportunities. We will also host a series of launch events across spring and summer including an official opening day.
We would like to share a huge thanks to all the funders and supporters of this project. We are looking forward to seeing the facility and the new club begin to thrive in 2026.
