Bromsgrove Tennis Club Shines Thanks to Dedicated Members

Bromsgrove Tennis Club's grounds are looking spick and span after a fantastic turnout for a working party held on Saturday, June 28th, 2025. A dedicated group of aroung 20 members rolled up their sleeves and pitched in, ensuring the club's facilities remain in top condition.

The volunteers tackled a variety of tasks, from mowing the grass and trimming the hedges to meticulously removing weeds that had sprung up between the paving slabs. Their hard work was evident across the club's grounds.

Club Chairman, Stephen Jones, expresses his sincere delight with the impressive turnout. "It's truly heartening to see so many members contribute their time and effort," he says. "As a members' club, we rely on everyone to muck in and help keep our club looking the best it can be. This really shows the fantastic community spirit we have here at Bromsgrove Tennis Club."

Adding a touch of unexpected challenge to the day, all the workers bravely braved a sudden infestation of horseflies, which, despite the annoyance, didn't deter their efforts. It was also wonderful to see that more than a few members brought along family members, including children, who enthusiastically joined in with the tidying efforts, making it a true community affair.

The success of the working party is a testament to the strong sense of community and shared responsibility among Bromsgrove Tennis Club members. Their dedication ensures the club remains a welcoming and attractive place for everyone to enjoy tennis.
