Bromsgrove Tennis Club's Wimbledon Watch Party: A Good Start (and a Few Sore Heads!)
Tue, 15 Jul 2025 00:00

The Club bar was buzzing on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, as over 20 enthusiastic members piled in to catch the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. It was a good turnout, filled with sore heads from the night before and high anticipation (probably more for the strawberries than the tennis).
Stig's handpicked strawberries were an absolute hit, going down a treat with everyone. But perhaps even more popular was the Pimm's! The bar remarkably sold its entire allocation of the refreshing beverage, a fact that was quite evident in the "relaxed" state some members found themselves in as they eventually (and no doubt carefully) made their way home.
Interestingly, the mastermind behind this brilliant idea, Tosin Ajayi, decided not to grace us with his presence on the day. However, we're reliably informed he was extremely thankful to those who did turn up and make it such a memorable event. The watch party was such a roaring success that the bar staff have already started enquiring if we'd like to hold similar events for the other Grand Slams throughout the year.
A massive shout-out to everyone who came along and made the Wimbledon Men's Final watch party such a good time. It truly showed off the fantastic community spirit we have here at Bromsgrove Tennis Club! Watch this space for the next group watch event.
