Tuesday Night Social welcomes it's youngest participant

Bromsgrove Tennis Club’s ever-popular Tuesday Night Social Tennis once again saw a fantastic evening of play on 8th October, with all five allocated courts in use and around 20 players taking part.

The weekly session , which runs from 6:30pm until lights out , gives players of all abilities the chance to mix in, play a set, and then rotate partners, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying some good tennis and great company.

This week also saw a special moment as junior member Benjamin Feltham joined the social session for the very first time. Partnering his dad, Max, Benjamin won his first set 6–4 and narrowly lost his second in a tie-break against Club President Trevor Errington and his partner. Which was only fitting as Trevor has always been a stanch advocate for getting the youth more involved in all aspects of the club.

Afterwards, Benjamin said:
“I really enjoyed the experience. Practicing whilst playing a match is different to the coaching sessions. Everyone is really welcoming.”

Max added:
“It’s great having the social tennis as it’s a low threshold to play tennis with different people. I started social tennis 11 years ago and then moved into Team Tennis sessions on Wednesdays. To play tonight with Benjamin feels like I have come full circle.”

Tuesday Night Social Tennis continues to be a highlight of the club week, offering members the perfect mix of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit.
