Friday 24th May Burton Tennis and Squash Club was the setting for South Derbyshire Schools Partnership Year4/5 Talent and Gifted Tennis day. There was 20 pupils from 8 primary schools including church broughton and eureka primary. Head Coach Alison Smith and Assistant Coach Zoe Edwards were in attendance. 

The morning was all tennis specific fitness and coordination exercises where a record of the pupils competence was kept. The highlight being the pupils trying to jump two footed onto a balance disc and stay on it !! 

The afternoon was testing the pupils racket skills and was finished with a game of tennis catepillar. It was mentioned that one group should enter the olympics for catepillar as the team work was amazing.

It was a fabulous day and lots of information learnt and given to all. Hopefully some pupils will continue their tennis at Burton. Well done everyone.
