The club's biannual Summer Ball was a great success, raising just over £1400 for chosen charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young)

85 people were welcomed to the event by Club Chairman Shaun Baxter, and  enjoyed a delicious three course meal at Branston Golf and Country Club followed by a raffle, stand up bingo and a disco. 

The charity was chosen in honour of club junior Alex Parker, who passed away from this terrible condition in September 2016. Alex's parents Bernadette and Gary, his sister Hermione, her boyfriend and Alex's best friend Tyler and his parents were special guests on the the evening.

Pete Scobie did an excellent job of organising the raffle and the games and Tracey Wright produced some lovely floral table centrepieces and, together with Victoria Huntington's help, made a fabulous job of presenting the raffle prizes. 

Thnaks to everyone who donated raffle prizes and particular thanks to Wayne Tandy of Tandy Financial Services for his generous sponsorship of the welcome drink.
