Subject to the country not going off the rails before the 26th of April, we intend to reopen the building and reactivate the fob system from that date. According to current SG instructions and guidelines, our necessary precautions and operating systems will not change from the regime in place before lockdown2. The headlines that need to be remembered are
- Entry to the building MUST only be made against a confirmed online booking. PLEASE DO NOT JUST TURN UP ON SPEC TO USE THE FACILITIES. As before, 10 booked sessions allowed in a 14-day window. Pre-booking is essential for all sports/areas, via our ClubSpark system.
- Only paid-up members will have their fob and booking access activated.
- Face masks must be used on entering the building and while moving about the premises. They are not required to be worn during play or training.
- Do NOT go to the club if you exhibit or suspect you have any of the well-publicised Covid-19 symptoms.
- All our published hygiene and sanitising measures must be strictly adhered to. There are Sanitising Stations throughout the building. Please remember to clean and re-sanitise any kit used in the last minutes of your session.
- Gym and AR continue to operate as two bookable sections each, Gym1, Gym2, AR1, AR2, one person per section.
- Between peak hours of 06.00 and 10.00, and 16.00 to 20.00 no solo member can book both sections of the Gym or AR.
- Currently, only solo squash or household pairs is allowed – the latest Scottish Squash/Scottish Government update is suggesting no normal play before the 28th of June, if level 0 has been attained.
- Pre-booked outdoor tennis singles and doubles continue to be allowed, with suitable social distancing measures as necessary. Court access will be via the fob system and main building, and the gate will be secured with a new padlock.
- It is hoped that the Monday morning group tennis coaching, socially distanced, will restart on Monday 26th April at 10.00. Many thanks indeed to Eileen for coaching this group. It is also hoped that a socially distanced outdoor tennis Club Night will restart on Tuesday 27th April, from 18.00. Entry to the clubhouse/toilets strictly under the ruling hygiene instructions.
- Unfortunately, all other club nights – weights, squash, racketball – remain impossible to restart under current restrictions.
We’re not out of the woods yet by a long way, so please continue to be vigilant and follow all SG and club guidelines to keep us all safe and the club open.
