Very well done to club member Faith Sinclair for reaching the final of the 65-69 Women’s World Masters tournament held this week in Johannesburg. En route she put out the number one seed, Claire Bryars, in the semi-final, 11-5, 11-3, 11-9, and must have thought she had a good chance in the final against the number two seed, Marilyn Kennedy. However, Marilyn proved too strong on the day, (Friday 30th September), and Faith lost 4-11, 9-11, 3-11. What an achievement for Faith, and we heartily congratulate her for putting SCSC and Scotland on the world sporting map. I hope our lady members are suitably inspired!
