Nasko Atanasov comes from the tennis haven of Bulgaria - the Haskovo Tennis Club where he had the privilege to train together with Bulgaria's brightest talents. In 2004, Nasko teamed up with fellow club member Grigor Dimitrov to win the Bulgarian National Junior Club Championship for the Haskovo team. He went on to compete for Whitman College when its varsity team was ranked 8th in the nation for the NCAA Division III.

Nasko has 10 years of coaching experience and has taught in Haskovo, Berlin, the Bay Area and Los Angeles, honing his skills around the likes of former US Davis Cup team member Nial Brash.
