It’s been a busy year of competition at Telford Park with around 335 Junior matches having been played! We are pleased to see a higher percentage of girls matches being played with 94 matches being registered.

Competition is central to tennis at Telford as it shows Juniors the benefit of hard work in lessons and gives everyone something to aim for. Tennis competition shows juniors how to overcome challenges and improves self-confidence.

In 2020 we are excited about introducing more meaningful, local, friendly competition against our neighbouring clubs.

The aim is to give children more evenly balanced matches in the local area with less travel for parents! Our trial Team Challenge Vs Dulwich was a great success! We have a re match booked in March and also a fixture against Spencer for the opening of their grass court season in the diary!
