JACK’S SERVE UP AN ACE FOR CHATTERIS TENNIS CLUB

Chatteris Tennis Club were recently delighted to be awarded with a £250 grant from Wayne Moore, Store Manager of their local Jack’s Superstore.  The money has been used to purchase some new tennis rackets for the Club’s ever expanding group of Junior tennis players.

Supporting the local community is important to Jack’s, which is why they created their Jack’s Supports scheme which donates proceeds from the sale of carrier bags to local good causes chosen by their customers. Once all of the applications are submitted they are reviewed by Jack’s store managers, who then create a shortlist of four good causes. Each of the four shortlisted good causes received a donation of £250.

Chatteris Tennis Club are now one of the four good causes open to in store voting for three months with the winner will receiving a guaranteed additional minimum sum of £500.

Simon Grainger, Chairman of Chatteris Tennis Club said, “To be awarded this money from Jack’s and now be one of the four good causes in store for voting, has been great promotion for our Club.  We have excellent facilities with four hard tennis courts, regular coaching programmes for adults and children, and a vibrant social and competitive tennis scene at the Club. The grant from Jack’s has enabled us to purchase new rackets for our Junior’s and assist us to continue to provide an exceptional tennis facility for our local community”.
