Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on 23rd March 2020, the Committee agreed that the tennis courts should be closed with immediate effect. Subsequently, the LTA sent out this update.

We have also agreed that the membership renewal process should be revised. As I mentioned in a previous post, the club cannot survive without subscriptions and we are very happy to receive subscription payments from anyone who feels able to do so. However, we feel that it is unreasonable to demand payment whilst no play is possible. Therefore, members may choose to defer their membership renewal until the courts re-open, at which point the fee will reflect the reduced period of availability. I would like to thank those members who have already renewed and assure them that appropriate reimbursement will be made (should it be necessary) when the courts re-open. However, should any of you require a full refund of your 2020/21 subscription, please email me and that will be arranged.
