Jayne Huxley-Grantham is a member of the County's Diversity & Inclusivity Committee and went to the event last year. "Having visited the Sports Zone area of this event in 2022, I was blown away by the number of exhibitors, artists and sports offerings available to all with a range of impairments" Jayen continued "With this in mind, and having funded a number of coaches in additional training in adaptive tennis in 2022, Cheshire County LTA are financing a presence this year in the Sports Zone area where our coaches will be demonstrating all forms of inclusive tennis from mini to walking and wheelchair tennis. We have engaged the services of specialist coaches LUSU sports where attendees can experience sensory tennis too.
We will be available on the day to discuss individual and group requirements and help anyone interested to find an inclusive venue near them."
If anyone would like to know more about opening their doors and offering inclusive sessions of any kind, this event could be a good opportunity to chat with the LTA North Disability Dev Partner, Matt Elkington together with LUSU sports and the County to see how they can help with funding and finding groups in their area.
Please get in touch should you require further information and we hope to see you there! Jayne may be contacted at dandi@cheshirecountylta.org.uk
