Cheshire appoints Ambassador for Diversity & Inclusion

With National Inclusion week approaching from 25th September, it is with great pleasure that we announce our first County Ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion.

Robyn Love, Paralympic GB wheelchair basketball player and ITF wheelchair tennis player, has agreed to help promote all aspects of inclusion within our sport. With her wealth of experience, we hope to bring a number of events across the county which will help increase awareness to aspects of diversity and adaptive tennis across the county.

Robyn and her partner (also a paralympian) enjoyed watching our juniors play in the Junior County Champs at Hoole and this weekend, attended the opening of the new tennis courts at Lymm Rugby Club with Nicki Harrison ( LTA Participation Development Partner)  and Jayne Huxley-Grantham (from Cheshire Tennis D & I committee), where the Mayor of Warrington cut the ribbon to officially open the courts. They are now fully available to members and non members on a pay and play basis at Manor Road Tennis Club.

Jayne Huxley-Grantham commented "Having met with Robyn a few times now, I'm delighted that she has agreed to support our work in Cheshire. Besides her experiencve, her enthusiaism is infectious and I can't wait to work with her and our clubs in Cheshire. Please contact me at dandi@cheshirecountylta.org.uk if you are interested in the work we are doing".
