11th Annual Presentation Evening a Huge Success!

Our 11th Annual Presentation Evening recently took place at The Pavilion Suite at Chester Racecourse where almost 300 guests enjoyed celebrating the achievements across Cheshire.

This year, we were delighted to welcome Fed Cup Captain and former UK Number One, Anne Keothavong, who answered questions and gave us a wonderful insight into her career as both a player and a captain. We were very grateful to Anne who was inspirational, chatting to our younger players and having photographs with them all through the evening, surely an occasion that will stay with them.

Players, coaches, volunteers and organisers were recognised for their dedication to the sport – it’s lovely watching a surprised winner collecting a salver and shows how much the awards mean. A highlight of the evening is always the Salute to the Champions which brings together all of the Champions of the Cheshire County Championships for the year. We saluted 36 champions with ages spanning over 75 years which just goes to show that tennis really is a sport for life!

Cheshire winners of the LTA Award categories will now go through to the Regional Finals and hopefully onto the National Finals. We wish our winners the very best of luck!

Congratulations to all the winners and runners-up and to those who were nominated.
