Well the weather wasn't great for our 14U Boys in Lymm and Girls in Holcombe Brook.

Boys' Captain - Stuart Murray and Vice Captain Andrew Beswick - Qualifiers

Boys' Team - Aran Selvaraasan, Dominic Poulston, James Mayers, Elijah Cuddy, Gabe Okeke, Joshua Van Dellen

Results - v West of Scotland Won 4-2, v Yorkshire Won 5-1, v Warwickshire Won 3-0

The excellent win against a strong Yorkshire team proved the deciding point of the weekend. Heavy rain on day 2 meant that as soon as the team had 3 wins, Cheshire could not be caught and the other games did not need to be played.  Cheshire had won the group and were through to the Division 1 National Finals

Boys' Team - Dominic Poulston, James Mayers, Elijah Cuddy, Gabriel Okeke, Josh Van Dellen

Results - v Kent  Lost 1-5, v Sussex Lost 2-4, v Bucks Lost 2-4, v South Wales Lost 0-5

Overall the team performed well over the weekend against physically strong teams. Playing in the National Finals means playing against the best teams in the country and our players represented themselves and the County very well both on court and off. Well done!

Girls' Captain - Jordan Young and Vice Captain Alex Day

Girls' Team - Susanna Thompson, Mahi Ginjupalli, Elisa Romashova, Millie Ryder, Anu Ginjupalli.

Results - v East of Scotland Lost 2-4, v Lancashire Won 4-2, v Yorkshire Drew 3-3

Again the weather played its part. After outstanding performances against Lancashire, the girls were tied at 3-3 against Yorkshire facing a shootout. However, the weather was so poor and Lancashire had already won the group so it was agreed the safest decision was not to play the shootout. This meant the Girls fininshed third in the group, but safety has to come first.
