Charity Tournament for The Upper Room

The Upper Room is a charity supporting  West London’s homeless and vulnerable people by providing hot meals, clothing and other assistance. A charity tournament was organised in March by Christian Gallen of Love Tennis at Hartswood Tennis Club. Congratulations to our CTC members who took part: Cathleen McConnell, Alison Rust, Zoe Tomkins and Celine Haddad (main picture).

Gardens & Front Gate

The gardens are starting to recover from the harsh winter. We lost several plants and bushes but we have already replanted some and it’s now starting to show. A new fence has been installed to replace the section of the back hedge that has died and work has begun on installing a new front gate.  Many thanks to Jo for all her hard work on the garden.

Looking after our new courts

There has been an increase in garden furniture being moved onto the courts. Please can we ask for all garden furniture to not be moved onto the court area. This includes the two small wooden tables on the patio and the blue chairs whose metal legs scar the new court surface.

Please can all members remember to take ball can tops and old racquet grips home with you plus all other items such as plastic bottles.

Things you should know

In case of missing items, the (Pink) Lost Property Box can be located on the table in the Clubhouse hall near the carpet end.

We’ve increased the guest fee for peak hours from £6 to £7 an hour; the off-peak fee of £5 and the £4 uplift for floodlights remain unchanged.
