What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
Our u8's class follows on from Youth Start and continues to build upon existing skills and develop new ones. Kids will learn receiving and sending skills, how to start the rally and physical skills to support their all around development. They'll receive a "Mission Card"specific to their level, with their tennis & physical missions outlined, which will help you and them track their progress. Most importantly they'll learn how to play the game of tennis, so that they can enjoy their end of term World Tour team event (included in the course fee). Also included in the course free is our new Free Play Friday session - this session gives kids a chance to come and practice the skills they are learning in their course, in a more relaxed environment. There will be a coach on hand to organise games and matches and reinforce the learnings from lessons. Through their course they will earn AirSmiles rewards points, which earn them different privileges & rewards as they level up.
