In 2025, we're running the following event categories for our adults members;
Mixed Doubles, Over 60s Doubles, Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles, Mens' Singles, Men's Doubles.
We will be using a Tier system for all events to help players enjoy the most enjoyable and most competitive matches throughout each event.
Tier 1 is for players who are of an intermediate-advanced playing standard and more experienced, confident & match sharp.
Tier 2 is for players who are of a beginner, improver or intermediate playing standard and/or less experienced or less confident.
Players will be assigned to a Tier which the organisers deem most appropriate for each individual, but we will consult with players if there is any uncertainty.
We aim to have a round-robin group stage for the preliminary rounds of each event and tier starting from Sunday 22nd June, then a Finals Day on Sunday 14th September.
Men's Singles - Tier 1 or 2
Round Robin matches can be played from Sunday 22nd June. The group draw will be made on Saturday 21st June. All matches will be best of three sets. Sets 1 and 2 will be played as standard first to 6 games, tiebreak to 7 at 6-6, with the third set to be played as a 10-point match tiebreak.
