Last week the Club hosted the Don Brace Cup final for the first time.

Stamford repeated last season's success by defeating Virgin Active Thorpe Wood 7 - 1. The final was unfortunately disrupted when Marcus Cowles aggravated an old foot injury and he and partner Anita Duff had to withdraw during the second set of the Mixed match whilst trailing 0 - 6, 2 - 5 to Nick Howitt and Carole Wilson. In the other Mixed match Stamford's Martin Trawford and Emily John Davis defeated Ben Fisher and Lauren McMahon
6 -2, 6 -2.

In the Ladies match spoils were shared when Stamford's Emily John Davis and Carole Wilson drew 2 - 6, 6 -2 against Anita Duff and Lauren McMahon.

Due to Marcus' injury Virgin Active Thorpe Wood had to concede the Men's doubles match. Max Lambert stepped in to allow the men to play an unofficial match, which Stamford won 6 - 3, 6 -1.
